I'd personally get a new mobo, and in turn a new CPU, but if your current system satisfies your needs than I'd think that you have no need to upgrade.

CPU: Intel i7 8700K | CPU Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3 | RAM: Kingston HyperX 2x8GB | Motherboard: Asus ROG Z370-E | GPU: MSI GTX 970 | HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB & 2TB | SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB & 970 EVO M.2 500GB | Case: Phanteks Enthoo Evolv X | PSU: Silverstone Platinum Strider 1100W | Monitor: AOC i2367Fh | Headphones: ATH-M40X | Mic: Antlion ModMic 4 | Keyboard: Corsair K70 RGB w/ MX Browns | Mouse: Logitech G502 HERO

Maybe a 1TB HDD instead of a 500/350 setup and possibly upgrading the CPU but only if you're capping it. Otherwise I would do a nice case upgrade

RIG: I7-4790k @ 4.5GHz | MSI Z97S SLI Plus | 12GB Geil Dragon RAM 1333MHz | Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 970 (1550MHz core/7800MHz memory) @ +18mV(Maxed out at 1650/7800 so far) | Corsair RM750 | Samsung 840 EVO 120GB, 1TB Seagate Barracuda | Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 (Closed) | Sound Blaster Z                                                                                                                        Getting: Noctua NH-D15 | Possible 250GB Samsung 850 Evo                                                                                        Need a console killer that actually shits on every console? Here you go (No MIR/Promo)

This is why you should not get an FX CPU for ANY scenario other than rendering on a budget http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/286142-fx-8350-r9-290-psu-requirements/?p=3892901 http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/266481-an-issue-with-people-bashing-the-fx-cpus/?p=3620861

I was actually planning that! But my finance doesnt agree with me xD

Thanks for your input :)

My previous 500gb died on me last week D: I needed extra space so i dug a 350 up :D

Is there any benefits from having a 1tb instead? :o

Unfortunately alot of those nice cases (like s340) doesnt exist in my country... this is the best budget case here :D

I don't see the budget, so all out X99 980 3-way SLI.

"Budget mind"

Do i need to continue?

rig seems fine, get a new hobby or save the money or invest the money

I think it looks decent.

Thanks guys :)

Yeap! I have 1000SGD saved up for a freesync monitor! Possibly getting a 1440p 144hz if it is within my budget! :D If not i'll settle with a 1080p 144hz one!

Lol 1000SGD monitor. I expect the first 1440p 144Hz Freesync to cost at least as much as the RoG Swift, which is $1259 at Fuwell.

That's only USD $930 *cynical laughs*

By the way Corbell has a promo on MSI R9 290X cards, if you're interested in Crossfire.

1080p it is LOL!

Nah my mobo will end up being the bottleneck! I'll probably wait until my card cant run games atleast high 60fps before upgrading

Your mobo will never be a bottleneck. I don't think you'll get your moneys worth out of the high refresh rate on a 1440 monitor, with a single 290X.

I've made a thread on CF-ing another 290x and most of the replies were that mobo was the bottleneck! D: hmm i mainly play csgo tho... with a lil triple A titles now and then like AC and bf4 etc

Nope, even at x8/x8 performance doesn't suffer. On any Crossfire capable mobo its the same. In the end the mobo is just a backbone to connect every other component.

The only real bottleneck to be concerned about is caused by the CPU. But you have an i5. No bottleneck there.

Anyway just wait till you decide on the monitor, before considering Crossfire. No point spending so much for 2nd card if playing only at 1080p.

Hmmm if you do not mind imma make another thread just to clarify that! :D

No offense in anyway tho!
