Back to playing STALKER

Because modern games suck and dying light was a waste of  my 60 bucks.

Im back to Chernobyl playing the first stalker.

One of the reasons i got into pc gaming , how many of you have played this fine game?

My brother got it off GOG recently and basically threatened me into playing it the other day. Seems like a fantastic game so far. Visuals are absolutely gorgeous as well, and I don't even have it on the highest settings. I could see myself playing this just as long if not longer than Fallout or Skyrim.

 

*the atmosphere is the best part.

I quite enjoyed those games and mods do bring a little extra to it. Although I have to say I am quite liking Dying Light so far as well, like an improved Dead Island.

Case: Meatbag, humanoid - APU: Human Brain version 1.53 (stock clock) - Storage: 100TB SND (Squishy Neuron Drive) - PSU: a combined 500W of Mitochondrial cells - Optical Drives: 2 Oculi, with corrective lenses.

Actually just started playing SoC again with AA2, I recommend it if you still want a vanilla experience with nice enough visuals. Grass at 200m is pretty taxing though.

Nah man, Complete is outdated and rubbish. Makes it way too easy as well, try out Autumn Aurora 2.1, it even has some fixes from ZRP included in it.

played a bit of it and enjoyed it. my pc back then wasn't able to handle it quite well so i had to tone down its graphics but it still looks great.

also THQ  :(

 

I cry evrtime :(

Loving playing it right now with autumn aurora 2 :D also side note, if anyone is playing Call of pripyat - there's a brilliant graphics overhaul called "remake" completely record the animations, models, graphics, shaders, makes the game look on par with 2014 games c:

That looks even better than the complete mode.

 

Time to re install.

Had only played like 10 mins anyways.

Drop down your view distance, it is entirely pointless. I don't even see the difference between max and min settings. On the minimum it also performs FAR better, which should help. their recent patch seems to have improved multithreading some as well.

 

IF that still doesn't fix it you're screwed for the moment I guess :P

It's in my backlog to start and complete. How is it compared to Metro and Fallout?

 

Better and better iMHO.

 

Open world like fallout 3 which i prefer to metro and solid shooting mechanics.
