Hey guys, i need some help with what to get with my next motorbike. If i can get at least 4 A's this year dad said he'll consider getting me a new motorbike for Christmas. Anyway i currently own a Xl185s Honda, and my mate says i should get a ttr230, any other recommendations for this? I thought about a wr250 but it might be too powerful, for me i'm 13 and can handle the 185 fine. My other option is a xr200r race bike. No 2 strokes please, will consider all recommendations!!

The wr250 has about 10 more rear wheel horsepower than a ttr 230 and will probably last you longer.

thanks, think i could handle a wr tho?

The WR250 is an awesome bike. Or go for an EXC300, now that is the definition of too powerful and it's a 2 stroke! :D

Why no 2 strokes? You worried about consumption or maintenance?

Why no 2 stroke????? and honda is the way to go maybe a CR250? They just last forever!!!

Because you need to rebuild the engine every now and then plus they are too loud anyway, and my Dad doesn't want me to get a 2 stroke anyway.

I can't tell you that, it depends. General rule is the bike only goes as fast as you twist the throttle. As long as you can cope with the size and the weight, it all depends on how well you can handle yourself.
