What are some good ssd type/name that i should look at ? ( i understand that older ssd can be dramatically slower than good old hard drive. )

The cheaper the better, i don't care about refurbished ssd, as long as it last 2+ years and load everything up fast ( Arma 2 really need an ssd to help loading things faster once i am inside the game )

Try to find open box, lightly used or referbished drives. On Craigslist, eBay or a local equivalent. Those normally have the best deals.

Intel 330 series, Crucial M4/M500, Plextor M5S, Samsung 840, Kingston. The Corsair Force drives seem to have good reviews but some people have mixed options on it. OCZ's Agility is okay but slows to A crawl if you fill it up.

I personally have had great experience with the 120G versions of the OCZ vertex 3 and the Samsung 840 series non-pro.  I just put the 840 into a HP dm1 netbook and that thing flies now. even with only 2G ram it is very zippy.
