FM2+ micro atx overclockable motheboard?

Go to solution Solved by 79wjd,

Wow! Thank you guys so much for all the replies and help! Means alot. The reason why I went with quite an expensive mATX case, was because my brother wants a small pc case, almost an ITX size. That's why the Bitfenix Prodigy M or the Bitfenix Phenom M was perfect. Thanks so much for the help! What are your suggestions now? Considering I need a small form factor micro atx case for the parts? Which will cost around £60. The max I'd say I'll go for this build is £420 or £450 absolute tops. Thanks!

So, I'm new to overclocking, and i plan on using an x4 860k and a Cooler Master Hyper TX3 EVO.

Is there any motherboards that are mATX, FM2+, and doesn't cost that much?

Also, check out this part picker I have made. Would the power supply I have chosen be good enough for the components?

Thanks for the help!

An A78 with VRM heatsinks and you're set. However I wouldn't get the TX3 EVO. Give me a sec

I'd change things up a bit:

(and if you can afford to go up to 425~ then get an i5-4440).

N200 sucks unless you're willing to mod it.

Thats not true. I have the N200 myself (albeit I replaced it with a 350D), but it's certainly not a bad case.

Anyway, swap the N200 for a Source 210 then and go with an i5 rather than spending double on a case.

I have one sitting right next to me. The design out of the factory with the front intake fans sitting right up against honeycomb grilles makes much more noise then needed.

So, are you sure the dual-core i3 would be a better choice than an 860k for this type of build?
