  • 7 months later...

It been a while since you make this original post but I will give you my answer now what so ever. The only icons or gadgets that works from the beginning of the install of Rainmeter are the ones that are connected directly with the motherboard, like temp, cpu usage ect. Everythink else you download and specially icons that meant to open applications are not simple because every computer may have different hard drive lettering or every user is not the same and like me to many application that I don't use every day i choose to install them in a different HD than the one with my operating system on so. You press right click on an icon that does not word in the pop-up menu there is the option edit skin, if you click that a word pad or similar file will pop-up with various information about that particular icon, size, color, width, height and ect. Somewhere in there there is an text that says ButtonCommand just next to it you need to copy paste the location of the exe file you need to open with this icon. The location path must be in this form " E:\Programms\Rainmeter\Rainmeter.exe".

This should do the word if not there is a big chance that widget to be faulty.  I hope that I helped you even almost a year later. Cya around!
