Today i bought a gtx 970 and when i change  the cards it doesnt want to boot up ill just have a flashing  "-" at the top left and "B2" at the bottom left can someone please help me i really want to get this card working.

Test the card on another PC. See if it is working. Sounds like you got a bad card.

Anyways , try the card on another pc like Imanuki said.

Hell I had to do a bios update on my sandy system to prevent a long boot hang. IDK wtf to do on a phenom 2 system, or why you have a 970 in it

X4 is going to bottleneck that 970 from the onset

yeah im going to test it on another pc tomorrow so ill see what happens there thanks for the suggestions and ill come back on here tomorrow and tell yous if it worked

I needed to update the BIOS on my Rampage IV before I could do anything. A dead card wouldn't be top of my list of probable faults here, but still worth testing.

Your cpu will bottleneck your card HEAVILY.
