Perhaps AMD's APUs. Maybe the Richland ones in particular. If you go that route, make sure you get higher clocked RAM. HIgher clocked, the better.

no no, for $800 you can build a whole gaming machine.

 

955/965BE cpu, $100

Cheapo 970 or 990 mobo, $100

some ram, as long as it works, $60

7870 or 7950, $200-$300

a decent 500-550W psu, $65

cheap case, $100

You should have a hard drive already.. A 1TB hdd is like $65 if you don't

and Windows $100

 

$790-$890

 

Right?

 

 

Edit: Newegg is selling a Sapphire 7970 for $300. Steal your relative's ram and hdd!

A Smidge over 800 but under 900.

 

you could get a cheaper cooler, and you would need some extra case fans, but the main things are there and sorry no USB 3.0 on the case its so cheap that if you want a usb header case with a side window it will be a little more money.
