Wire hot?

My fan extension wire is hot near the end, and it looks like the rubber around the wire is missing at the end.

 

SHould i not use it?

Maybe the wires inside make contact, better get a new one, a cable fire inside something with a lot of cables is not so good

Hot and insulation is missing? You have a short circuit right there.

Toss that thing away before anything catches fire.
