Crashed in game. Actual screen is fine

that would be your graphics card crashing or displaying errors, NOT your monitor crashing. You may want to completely rephrase your title and OP or else people are going to be really confused like they already are.

Oh...so your game crashed.

I'd attribute that to GabeN's break from coding to go to the lunch room. Valve games can not sustain themselves without Lord GabeN.

(honestly I have no idea...could be your memory? try memtest. gpu? furmark for 24 hours etc. but I think its just Source being a bitch.)

Your GPU is probably unstable. I see graphical artefacting in your recording. If your monitor was at fault, you wouldn't see it in the recording.

Your 970 Strix is factory overclocked to 1114Mhz base and 1253Mhz boost.

True stock specs per Nvidia are 1050/1178

Try to underclock your card to Nvidia stock frequency.

Also check your temps and video cable for good measure.

Tks.I'll do it right away

How could I change the base clock.?

If I'm not wrong, EVGA Precision and MSI Afterburner will only let you set the base clock.

At least that's the case for my 7950. In order to change my boost clock, I have to do it using OverDrive settings in CCC.

For Nvidia it might also be in your Nvidia control panel.

The 600-900 series only allow for the boost clock offsets to be adjusted. In addition, NVIDIA doesn't have any overclocking features in the control panel. (I have a 970 and a 660 Ti)

Ya, you right. I ony can change the boost clock on tweak GPU. I can't find the base clock.
