installing ssd

so I have some questions about installing a ssd. I already have an os installed on to a Hdd so does that mean I have to reinstall window to ssd and wipe out everything on the hdd?

yeah but you can install windows first, then plug in your HDD, drag your files over to the SSD, then format the HDD so its clean

 

after that you can move any files you want to the HDD for more permanent storage

No. You really should do a fresh install. Then you can transfer stuff from the HDD to the SSD. Some SSD's come with cloning software so it will clone your whole HDD.

Yes, you have to install or clone Windows to the other drive. No, you don't have to wipe the HDD.

so I installed the os to the ssd, but seems like my os is only booting up from my hdd rather than ssd.

 

I dont know what I did wrong here and Im very confused because I cant make my os boot up from the ssd.

how does steam work for this? I installed steam to my ssd and CS GO, but seems like cs go is the only game on there so does this mean if I wana play other games that are not installed in my ssd steam I have to restart steam with the one in my hdd and play like that?
