Hard Drive Help!

Go to solution Solved by LogicalDrm,

No the pc doesnt have a hdd or ssd, so i just got a external hard drive with windows installed

Doesn't make it any different. System32 is basicly your main OS files. You actually can't delete most of the stuff since its constantly being used. And you propbaly can't boot to windows after deleting stuff you can since they may be related to OS loading processes. Or shutdown processes.

There are files that ARE safe to delete. Anything caller "Temp/temp/TEMP", safe. hibernation.sys, safe, pagefile.sys, safe but I would suggest you configure that manually instead.

Software that you have uninstalled usually leave stuff in Documents and AppData folders. You can clean them manually or by using CCleaner kinda software. Those aren't as effective as manual style but should do enough since you seem pretty noob about this.

I have recently noticed that my hard drive in my pc is nearly full, with only 10GB remaining. I have done a little digging into folders and one folder, called "system 32" is hogging about 5GB. I've never even opened that folder, and since it's in the windows folder I'm guessing its something that came pre installed. Does anyone know what this folder actually even does, because if not I'm going to delete it to free up some space for my steam library. Thanks!
