hey everyone! so today, tried to start up from the depths.

in the menu my cpu was pinned at 100%. weird. in game it bottlenecks at about 20-25%ish I believe. but its in beta so no biggie. check fourms, didnt see anyone have a similar problem.

go to another game, spin tires. Cpu pins at 100% on the menu.

so lets try a non beta game? start up battleblock theater, as this runs on my I3 laptop no problem. Its only getting around 30 fps. no massive cpu usage problem, but why such a low frame rate? it runs that well on integrated I3 from 2-3 years ago. and my rig is :

I5-3570K at 4.4ghz

crossfire 7950s

8 gigs of ram

gigabyte mobo

and yet another issue, MSI afterburner has no readings for graphics cards.

not sure if this is relevant, but task manager likes to say my I5 runs at 5.6 ghz.

huge pain as Im about to sell my pc, and need to show it off this weekend. rather it work when Im trying to sell it thanks for any help!

edit: gpus are reading -1*C at the temps. so lost.

If you're selling your PC. Restore it to factory defaults then download some test games.

not selling to for another week, and possibly 2. and some people perfer to see how a system performs in real world. Its one thing if a computer is good when it only has a single program installed, another if its a year old full of bloat and still runs great.

that and itd still be nice to use it normally for the rest of the period. I dont want to be out of a computer for another 2 weeks ontop of how ever im going to go after i sell it.

Never, ever use task manager for CPU speeds. Always go CPU-Z for CPU speeds.

go into the BIOS and reset the overclock and voltage back to factory settings.

running at gold ol' stock. didnt fix anything yet. going to reinstall graphic drivers now because my gpus are having all kinds of issues out of the blue also.

ran virus scan also.

Did you try to update the BIOS? because it may be a glitch(Idk what to call it) where the voltage is saying wrong, or it may be your power supply not regulating the amount or voltage going to your CPU. Check to see if there is damage on the CPU power connector and see if it is plugged in all the way. It may have gotten loose over time. Thats all I can think of.

You shhould always always re-format your drive and install a fresh copy of windows when sellingyour computer. Unless you're selling it to your brother or something. Tha being said, after making sure all drivers and bios are up to date, try also testing the GPU's individually to see if one of them may be misbehaving. It is (however uikely) possible that one of them spontaneously fried up.

When in doubt, re-format.
