Do you have new sticks in your system now?

Try re-seating the RAM.

That means taking it out and putting it back in. Then do a test boot. If it still doesn't work, make sure you didn't leave anything undone (wires, and the like).

Tried

Tried re seating the ram and it didn't work. All wires are in because I haven't plugged any of them out. The ram sticks are not new but worked perfectly about a month ago and have been carefully stored away.

Any other compatible RAM laying around?

I think this happend to me when I tried to put a 8Gb ram stick into the slot but my mobo only can handle 4 in a slot. Do you know if your mobo supports that ram?
