I just bought a new monitor for my PC off Amazon. It is the LG 23EA63V-P. It's an AH-IPS 1080p monitor. It has HDMI, DVI and VGA input. I'm not using VGA because it sucks. I have a single link DVI cable lying around. I know it is good enough for 1080p @ 60Hz (which my monitor runs at) but will I benefit in any way from using dual link? By the way I won't use the HDMI because I will use my PS3 in that port. I play fast paced games like Planetside 2 and want to know if I will benefit in any way by using dual link.

Unless you're using higher resolutions or higher refresh rates, no.

i dont think you'll see any benefit... If you had a dual link cable lying around then i would take it but if you have to buy it first then nah.

Thanks! Considering I already made a post I just wanted to make sure this this too; The only difference between DVI-I and DVI-D is that I is that I can convert to VGA right? This is the case with both single and dual link I think. Also FloRolf, I don't understand what you mean. Are you saying I should buy a dual link and I will benefit despite the fact that I have a single link at home?
