so I launched an ssd, then by accident launched an iso file..

anyway the point is, a lot of the files and icons on my desktop just. dissapered. (mostly just icons) but yeah. anything I should be worried about ?

Since "launching" is not really a useful term when it comes to computers (other than say... missiles), would you care to elaborate what you did? (And don't worry about .iso file - it's just a CD/DVD image.

whoooops... didn't realise my mistake... I started a TXT file..  and everything dissapered xD

ik what an iso file is.. 

 

Neither a .txt nor an .iso file should do anything to your desktop. Unless it wasn't really a .txt file to begin with (e.g. a file called harmless.txt.exe ) - by default windows hides known extensions, so unless you changed that setting, you would only see harmless.txt - and by opening it you would actually run an .exe file. (That's kinda how the "I love you" virus started - a hidden .vbs file IIRC)

 

If you are sure it's really just a .txt file (and .iso file) and the iso didn't get mounted in any virtual optical drive and then autostart there, there should be no way for the files to be connected with what happened.
