No is the first thing I think of. The closest graphically intensive thing I can think of my parents doing on their computer is watching and exporting encoded media from their video camera.

My parents' computer recently broke and I am convincing them to not get a pre-built PC (which might or might not be a good idea) for price, upgradability and all that. I'll be fitting a Intel Pentium G3258 in there but I don't really know how to justify to them the lack of a GPU. Even though they know nothing about GPUs and just felt the need to have one because the pre-built ones do.

Yeah that's that and the title is kinda... inappropriate. Sorry about that. Just had to do it. Do you guys think a GPU would be needed?

Please quote if you want a person to reply, they won't get a notification otherwise.

(CPU: Intel 4790k) (GPU: Gigabyte GTX 970 WF3OC) (Mobo: Asus MAXIMUS VII RANGER) (RAM: Red Corsair Vengeance Pro 2*8GB 1600MHz) (HDD: WD Green 2TB) (SSD: Samsung 840 Evo 120GB) (CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212X) (PSU: Corsair RM750) (Case & Fans: Corsair Obsidian 450D) (Monitor: Asus VX239H)

I'd get an A10 7850k or 7700k if I were you.  It's not the most powerful thing in the world, but the GPU WRECKS anything on intel's side.
