“It would seem that Our Lord finds our desires not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea. Most MOBAs aren't particularly gpu dependent. If it's a good 430w psu, then R9 280 would work, if it's not a decent psu, then I wouldn't go above a R9 270 (but I'd also want to replace the psu).

MOBAs tend to be single/dual threaded games that prefer a few fast cores and use minimal gpu power.

Will probably replace the psu

Mobas on max settings 1080p will take more than my coughing 430

450w psu

What power supply is it? I think @Aniallation is running the same CPU with a 270 with no bottlenecks, so I'd say it's safe up to a 280 as far as CPU limitations, but again make sure your PSU can handle it.

Desktop: Intel Core i5 2380P (2400 w/o iGPU), MSI H61, 8GB RAM, 256GB SP610, 500GB WD Blue, HIS R9 280, Antec TruePower Classic 550W, Inwin MANA 134, QNIX QX2710, CM QuickFire Rapid, Logitech G402

Laptop: Toshiba Satellite L40D, AMD A6-6310, 6GB RAM, 500GB HDD, Radeon R4 Graphics, 14" 1366x768

Phone: iPhone 6 Space Gray 64GB, T-Mobile $60/mo 3GB plan

its a no modular 450w antec

Will probably go with a 960 or 285 to replace it

And add a 4gb ram stick

It depends on the MOBA. I was able to run Dota 2 just fine at 1080p on a GT435m (and on my 4690k's HD4600 iGPU -- which is also fairly similar to a GT430).

Do not get 960 or 285 at this point. Both of them aren't great cards for the money. 285 is okay, 960 is trash.

Get an R9 280.

The power consumption tho

I could replace the psu and get a 280

Why did mine run csgo at 480p? It lags badly on 1080p and i got a 1gbps wifi so it shouldnt be an internet problem

GT 430 is very poor performance for gaming. Take this into consideration, it's worse performance then Haswell integrated graphics.

CSGO is cpu bound, not gpu bound.

Not quite. GT430 is about on par with HD4600

CSGO can only utilize a single core the x6 doesn't have a particularly high single core performance.

There was probably something else going on though, since it should be able to play csgo at 1080p

Here's CS:GO running on a Phenom II X4. Thuban is just two more cores added in. Not a CPU bottleneck in OP's case.

Also GT 430 is slightly worse then HD 4600, slightly better then HD 4400.

Will pull around 350W under gaming load. What Antec 450W is it? VP450 will handle it perfectly fine, but I would not trust it on SP450.

Mine is sp450 xD

It's cool to see how far integrated graphics have come :P

My laptop with Intel HD 4400 can only get solid 60FPS in CSGO when running at 720p medium. At 1080p lowest settings its only around ~35-40 FPS which you do notice is worse in CSGO
