even for the cartoon sketch?

I'm not sure, I found out about it a few days ago (when looking into Wacom Bamboo tablets).

Saw it being used in a few videos, people mostly used it for drawing anime type stuff

She likes it. She wanted an official copy of sai, but couldn't find one in english. The free one has some glitches.

Then I would recommend you to check out Krita. It is specifically designed for digital illustrating. I believe it is available for Linux, Windows and Mac OS. I am curious for your experiences, be sure to share those so it will help other people too.

Is the program she using free?

sai is a Japanese software. all the English versions we found were free. the manga studio was like 30$.
