I trying to setup a Minecraft server for me and my friends yo play on and in following this guide.

I at the part where you make the text document to make the run file. You paste into the box the text that shows how much RAM you want to use for the server. I trying to use 2GB. But every time I paste it then hit run i get this.

You're trying to give it more RAM than you can, probably because you're using 32-bit Java. Since it's failing with 2 gigs, make sure that the only version of Java you have installed is 64-bit.

Sig under construction.

I know that.

You can only allocate ~1.5GB max with 32-bit Java.

1. You might be using Java 32 bit.

2. Your xms value might be higher than your xmx value.

How do i get 64 bit java?

Choose 64 bit and remove the 32 bit version if that's the one installed. https://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

How do i get 64 bit java?

Well, firstly get rid of any Java installs you have. You can do this by going to Add & Remove programs, as I'm sure you know.

Then...Ninja'd.
