Front Panel: No Bass

hi guys, after getting some sleeving for my rig, the front panel audio ist kind of weird. it doesnt put out bass any more, so when listening to music i will hear voices and percussion stuff like hihats etc, but no bass at all. i'm running a sabertooth z77 in a corsair 600t case. during the sleeving process i removed the AC97 connector. in bios the sound is set to hd audio. i noticed that the second pin of the hd audio connector (GND) of the case does not have a cable running to the front panel. it only ran to the AC97 connector. i'm quite confused.

anyone got any idea? thanks in advance (=

well before i got it sleeved everything worked out perfectly

well, you don't have a ground connection.

that causes it to sound funny.

 

did it get caught in the sleeving?

nope, removed the sleeving and i just cant find that freaking ground cable. i took of the front panel to see all the cables running in there, and there are actually only the cables which are in the hd audio connector. i just dont get it. this is kind of frustrating, but still amusing  :wacko:

there are 9 cables soldered to the circuit platine of the front panel, and those 9 cables are running directly into the connector. none of them to the ground pin, but 2 of them to the Ifront I/O sensor pin.

solved it. confusingly, the ground has to connected to the pin next to it which should be analog vcc power =)
