R9 280 or 285

Hello

I'm building my PC soon in about a month or so and I really cannot find a card to stick with! I REALLY do not want to screw up and get a certain part wrong so I've made several posts and I'd like to thank everyone who has helped me so far! Anyway I'm stuck between the R9 280 or 285 (GTX 960 slightly out of my price range and I don't think it outperforms the R9 280/285). Also the R9 280x not to sure about the card I mean I don't really want to pay an extra $30 for a slight increase of performance. Budget for card slightly over $200 or below it

280, unless you want FreeSYNC. The 280 has more video RAM, but they both perform pretty much exactly the same. And the 280 is cheaper typically.

Do you know what GSYNC is? They're the same thing, but FreeSYNC is for AMD.
