TOXIKK

So some of you may know of a WAN show from a while ago where Linus and Luke discusses a New "old school" style shooter called TOXIKK. I have been interested ever since, and today it finally releases. I will give feedback on the game once it releases in an hour. Who else is excited for TOXIKK?

Game took me literally a minute to install so depending on your DL speed it shouldn't take long.

so far I like it. I have played about maybe 15 minutes? A few matches. Very fast paced, no classes or anything. You start with a pistol and rush like a mad man to a weapon before the enemy (if there is on near by) so kill him first. It reminds me of the hunger games movies but in a game.

But I want to play it! its at least better than a kick starter since you get something right away :P

From the description it seems like its mostly fine tuning and weapon balance.

There is always a risk when buying them, but there are cases when they are good too. This game is great so far. Clean, to the point, and fun.

It actually works and the Developer is focusing on release smaller but finished parts of the game rather than a huge release with bugs. This DEV is serious and I like them!

For the people who don't know: Toxikk is basically unreal tournament with new and better graphics and improved movement.

Fast paced arena shooter without all the bs going on these days. No leveling, no classes, no reviving etc.

Early access isn't always bad, since you can end up with a game that's mostly complete.

I was going to ask about the movement. Is the movement more like Halo (if you've ever played that game before) or is it fast and floaty?

Yeah, as I said in the previous post, if you've played UT it'll feel really familiar. :)

Fair enough, I don't think I'll pick this one up until it's on sale then.

Since it's early access, how bad is it?

Personally I think you should only buy early access if the game is in a properly working and free of critical bugs and most minor bugs.

Nuclear throne is a great example of early access. Bugs doesn't seem to be a real problem and the main focus is adding content. Basically a game in the later stage of development, which is what early access should be.

I'm telling the truth! I AM a 12 year old girl!

I just played a bunch with a friend. The one map is pretty balanced but maybe a bit more balancing need to be done in other areas. the pistol is way too useless. The double tap to doge should be able to be to be turned off right now you can only change the interval.

Also I was playing bots for quite a bit and well I head shot 2 different bots 3 time with two different guns and they didnt die when they should have in one.

The game is really fun. I cant wait for more maps and game modes. My friends has never played this game type before and enjoyed it right away.

You move very fast, but this isn't a bad thing. Your are completely in control of where you are going and I like this.

It works fine so far. The dev is going to release new content in patches every month introducing new maps, guns, and other stuff. So I think the game is pretty solid.
