Problem with my Razer Tiamat 7.1

DeepHouseSoldier

Hi guys !

I i have a problem with my headphones...

There is a thing where you can change each type of sound (like sub or front etc) on the remote, but when I try, I can only change front on the remote, and I thinks that my headphones has only one drivers working, why ?

Windows won't reproduce 5.1 or 7.1 if the source doens't have surround audio, unless you configure it differently.
I don't know what option you can have with the remote though...

A few questions:

1) Do you have a dedicated sound card?

2) If so, can you plug all inputs from the headset in properly?

3) If not, what motherboard are you using?

Okay I looked into it and I can't tell if your motherboard supports 7.1 surround . Most likely it does not and you will need a dedicated sound card to enjoy the full surround. Again, I could be wrong. If I where you I'd post a topic about asking about it in the audio or motherboard subsections.

This is why. Their quality control has been horrible ever since going full China. Not to mention the actual sound quality of Razer speakers is terrible.

Not that I expect you to understand, anyways. You fell for the 7.1 surround sound bullcrap, AND posted this in the wrong subforum.

Not really, it's still a peripheral.

There is a whole subforum dedicated to just audio.

Doesn't mean it isn't in the wrong subforum though.

However, you're correct about 7.1 & razer. Razer is bad quality wise and 7.1 is a gimmick which should be banned from headsets. If you want surround sound, get a decent set of speakers. :)

7.1 is great in a room. In a headset, however, the speakers are really damn small and close to eah other. You're just gonna get lower quality stereo sound.
