Heyoo,

Noticing a high pitch squealing when playing some games, especially ones that push above and beyond a certain fps. It's not audible from the system itself, only through audio equipment (namely my stereo system, headphones have no issue).

Is this coil whine? Never experienced it before, hoping I can make it disappear...

Do you have a microphone near the speakers, could it be a feedback loop?

Nope, my headset runs through my microphone (zero latency monitoring woo). Now that you mention that, I can hear whine through the headphones if I plug them directly into the computer.

Sometimes that can happen if you plug it into the front I/O. Try plugging it into the back, it may help :)

Bleigh!  Ever hear of AC series?

Are you plugging the headphones and mic in the front/top io ports? Supposedly that cable is a giant antenna picking up any interference from inside your case if you don't have it secured enough not to vibrate or anything rubbing on it. I had some issues with mine before I zip tied it down, that's the only thing I can think of.

Stereo is in the back, headphones were in the front (no whine when plugged into USB mic which is also in the back, presumably because it has it's own sound card).
