So I'll be listing my rig on Ebay this weekend, but I am unsure of how to pack it.

I have the box the case came in, with all the packing material, but will the heat sink and graphics card be ok? I thought about filling the PC with anti-static packing peanuts, but I can't imagine that doing a whole lot.

Have any recommendations?

Thanks so much!

Foam, lots of it. Also, remove the GPU so it doesn't snap off. Maybe also the CPU cooler if the buyer knows how to put it back on. Trust me, i've made many mistakes doing this.

Cut foam blocks and use it to support the GPU and CPU cooler or even remove it and place it back into the original box and ship it as part of the package. As for the box itself make sure you double box with foam blocks or reinforce it so there is another layer of cushion since a fully built system is fairly heavy.

Unlike what @terrytek and @W-L have said, I would just use the original shipping box and put more padding between the box and the case. I did this a few times, once shipping from California to Maine and it was perfectly fine.

My arsenal: i7-9700k Gaming Rig, an iPhone, and Stupidity.

Or this. But pack it in foam is a better idea, like how case manufacturers ship it.

Good idea!

Yea the system weighs roughly 45lbs (either that or I'm a weakling) xD

Personally i just like to overpack my stuff just incase since I`ve gotten a few packages before that had their boxes pretty torn up going through the mail service, double boxing or adding an extra layer or cardbaord and making sure things are supported should prevent any issues for you though.

Stuff crumpled paper into the system to keep components from flying around and pack the system in foam.

This could work just don't use news paper or the toner will get on everything. Also warn the buyer that there will be stuff inside the case for shipping protection so they don't start it up without cleaning out the packing.

If you can be fairly certain that whoever bought this thing is competent, it really would be the best bet to take the GPU and that big CPU heatsink out first. If you can't, you will probably have to tightly pack it with anti-static packing peanuts to prevent them from moving around too much. Even then, you still risk doing some damage to the motherboard. Good luck!
