Mobo: sabertooth r2 990fx

Cpu: blck edition 6300fx

Ram: gskill sniper series 8gb

Psu: corsair ax760i

Gpu: evga 760

Ssd + hd: 2 Evo pros 120gb - wd1tb hd

Cooling and case- xspc photon 170 XSPC ray storm block 3/8 5/8 primo chill tubing 240 rad 140s and a 200mm phanteks pwm fans 2 120mm xspc 1250rpm fans all in the phanteks pro case slightly modded to top mount the radiator and fitting the red.

I'm overall happy with the build thinking sli will help down the road - perhaps even full blocks on the gpus as well - designed and built for over locking and gaming like far cry wow cod metro deadpool etc.

4.7 stable clock at 35c under full loads.

How did I do for my modest 1300-1400 price tag?

Fx-6300 on a $1400 budget is absolutely terrible. Your entire build is completely out of balance

RIG: I7-4790k @ 4.5GHz | MSI Z97S SLI Plus | 12GB Geil Dragon RAM 1333MHz | Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 970 (1550MHz core/7800MHz memory) @ +18mV(Maxed out at 1650/7800 so far) | Corsair RM750 | Samsung 840 EVO 120GB, 1TB Seagate Barracuda | Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 (Closed) | Sound Blaster Z                                                                                                                        Getting: Noctua NH-D15 | Possible 250GB Samsung 850 Evo                                                                                        Need a console killer that actually shits on every console? Here you go (No MIR/Promo)

This is why you should not get an FX CPU for ANY scenario other than rendering on a budget http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/286142-fx-8350-r9-290-psu-requirements/?p=3892901 http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/266481-an-issue-with-people-bashing-the-fx-cpus/?p=3620861

I picked the 6300 due to reviews of more stable clocks of 4.7 then the top end 8000 series CPUs - which at 35c 100% load at a 4.7 clock was decent for alittle over a 100 bucks maybe I was mislead

An i3 at its stock 3.4ghz beats the oc'd fx-6300 in EVERYTHING except content creation

You DO NOT use a 6300 on $1300 builds, and just so you know just becase a CPU has a higher clock speed doesn't mean it's better.

I think you meant, "just because it has a higher clock speed does not mean its better"

Yes sorry

Guy you will be the laughing stock of LTT if you build your orignal build. My build costs the same with an i5 and a GTX970.
