Aspect ratio theoretical question

So, there is a lof of them. 

 

Do you think a 2:1 unified standard would be good? (would make pretty numbers for resolutions like 8000x4000) Or aiming for a single standard aspect ratio is a bad idea?

 

Do you think we could get by with just two aspect ratio standards? What would they be then?

Definitely 16:9 & 21:9! ;)

Thats the thing. I do think that 16:9 is a little uncomfortable for working on a laptop.

 

I really hate the 16:10 chanter crowd and their fucking whining, but i believe that the two aspect ratios to have as standards should be 16:10 and 24:10.

(24:10, cuz lets just round up the 2.37, and 2.39 to 2.4)
