Hey guys.

I currently have a i5-2320 3.0 Ghz which is getting pretty old by now. I'm using it in combination with a MS-7728 Motherboard. (OEM)

I really want to upgrade my CPU since the CPU requirements for Dying Light and GTA V are pretty high. I'm thinking about getting the i5-4690k or the i7-4790k but I also think about waiting till Skylake gets released.

What are your opinions on this? Should I wait or is it not worth the wait?

Definitely go with the i5-4690k, not only is is eminantly overclockable with adequate cooling, but I also doubt you will need more for at least a couple years. Waiting for the next big thing rarely makes sense.

I have mine clocked at 4.5GHz and I could go even higher.

@wertyuipo follow your topics mate :P (also fancy name I just figured out)

Case: Meatbag, humanoid - APU: Human Brain version 1.53 (stock clock) - Storage: 100TB SND (Squishy Neuron Drive) - PSU: a combined 500W of Mitochondrial cells - Optical Drives: 2 Oculi, with corrective lenses.

Thanks for the replies guys!

I decided to wait till Dying Light comes out and see how my processor runs. If it runs well I will wait for Skylake. If not, I will get the 4690k.

Do you guys have any motherboard suggestions? I currently have the Asrock B85M Pro4 and a new Windows License on my list.

yes, get a z97 chipset motherboard if you want to overclock the unlocked i5-4690k
