Hello everyone, I live in the America and my goal is to successfully put together and build a pretty decent gaming pc, I only plan to run one monitor for now and I'm upgrading because its just time to put the ol toaster to rest "My Current Pc". I already put some things together but due to my lack of knowledge i would like to post my build here and get a few "second opinions" or any advice or ideas on better parts. On a side note if anyone could either tell me or point me in the right direction i would like to know how many 120 mm fans vs 140 mm fans i should put in this case and more importantly where should i put them for the best cooling results.

Good, but use pcpartpicker. And why do you want 16gb of RAM?

CPU: i5-4690k GPU: 280x Toxic PSU: Coolermaster V750 Motherboard: Z97X-SOC RAM: Ripjaws 1x8 1600mhz Case: Corsair 750D HDD: WD Blue 1TB

change:
mobo: unless youre getting a haswell "pre-refresh" chip like the 4670k or 4770k, then change the mobo to an H97 board or something of the sort if you plan to stick with the locked cpu.

storage: do you already have a mass storage drive? ssd's fill up hella quick, wont last you long with games taking up 40-50 gigs on average.

ram: more than 8 gigs will not really benefit you in games, so you could save some money there

psu: for a few bucks more, try and pick up and evga 80+ gold power supply.

other than that, youve got a nice build.

4690K // 212 EVO // Z97-PRO // Vengeance 16GB // GTX 770 GTX 970 // MX100 128GB // Toshiba 1TB // Air 540 // HX650

Logitech G502 RGB // Corsair K65 RGB (MX Red)

First off i wanted to say thank you to everyone that posted and As far as the choice of 16 gigs of ram, i wanted to get 16 gig's because i plan on doing a lot of recording and streaming when i get this pc built, But again if you guys don't think its necessary or perhaps i waste of money then i can always kick down to 8 gigs. I also wasn't aware that the CPU i picked out was locked and i will switch it out with the 4670k thank you for the suggestion! Oh and as far as the power supply goes i just wanted to get something in a higher wattage just in case i want a bigger card or something down the line.
