CPU Problem

FireFox

Hey,

For some reason my CPU's virtualisation is disabled which is wasn't before and I can't figure out how to re-enable it, there is nothing in the BIOS at all for that and I'm confused.

CPU is a Core 2 Duo T8100

Also, it appears from the Intel website that virtualization features of the processor are only available if the BIOS provides support for it.

Does your motherboard BIOS have support for that feature? Maybe need an update.

I can't see it in there but in Speccy it used to show up as enabled (weird how I noticed it) but now it's disabled, what could have disabled it because I can't remember doing anything like that.

If its not in the BIOs then I don't have a clue. Sorry. It's been a while since I had a Core 2 Duo.

I have no idea, some Clevo board with a GL40 chipset with an Intel ICH9-M southbridge, the BIOS is Pheonix Technologies  LTD version 1.00.03

Not too sure mate. The only thing I can say is have a second look in the BIOS and make sure to check every page available. The option may be in deep somewhere.

I've done that, there isn't much in there really and nothing about CPU virtualisation but like I said it was enabled but now it's disabled, if it's not important than fair enough but I'm curious to what has disabled it.
