so I currently plan on opening my home wireless network for anyone to use since I have no bandwidth cap it shouldn't be a problem and if I have any lag during something I need to do I'll just kick people ^^. 2 question is this legal (Canada-Montreal) and should I know anything else that can make this not a good idea

 

edit: I'm so bad in english I wrote tough instead of thought anyone know how to edit title

They can mess with your router settings. Unless you set up a virtual network just for them, I don't recommend it. It's legal though.

It is legal as long as u dont charge for it. Is it a good idea for randoms to be able to connect to your network and potentially sniff packets etc no!

Most Cisco APs include a guest access mode for you to configure.

 

But yes, there are very, very serious security implications of doing this.

I would make sure you have a password for the router so they can't change the settings for it
