So a couple of months ago I bought the 900D on sale, and it's been great however I've noticed some dust collecting in the system. Its a positive pressure system with the 5 fans intake and 1 exhaust. (Just saving money to do full water loop and X99 till then its pretty bare bones.) All of the dust that is inside the system is around the intakes, with most of the dust being stopped by the front and top mesh filters, but some is still getting through the filters. This is not a big deal since I can just take compressed air to the system but I am wondering if anyone else is having this issue or if its just me. (Never owned a case with dust filters till I bought the 900D so my expectations may be to much.)

i believe @JayzTwoCents was saying the same, so he'd completely ripped all

the filter off. if it is going to be dusty, why compromise with lack of airflow? so

the comment was same as before, just have to make a better effort to clean it.

then came the CaseLabs SM8A.

although they are "filters" they are a coarse mesh that stops big stuff, but not

the small particles. this was to not completely starve an already struggling setup.

There's always a compromise between airflow restriction and filtering out the air intake. I personally prefer to go filter less and have rads on quick disconnects so cleaning can be done outside of the case/house easily. A blower such as the Metro Datavac takes care of the insides.

Well this is good to know; thanks all. I think I will leave the top filter on for aesthetics and yank out the front filter once I replace the carpet with something other than carpet.
