I've installed the mobo, ram and CPU/CPU cooler onto my G1 Sniper M5. When we tried to turn it on without the CPU connector (just with ATX pin) installed it turned on for 1 sec then shut off again. Now we have the CPU pin installed the orange light on the mobo will turn on but when we press it nothing happens?

Help me please, I'm getting so frustrated with this.

Which CPU did you use?

Did you plug in all connectors (8pin power, 24pin power, GPU power (6pin or more))?

Did you apply the thermal paste?

What code is it showing?

i5 4690k

Yes we have 8PIN CPU and 24 PIN power, were not installing a GPU yet.

We used the intel stock cooler which has pre applied thermal paste.

No error code is showing.

You mean i5 4690K?

It has a POST DEBUG LED, i suggest you see what that says. Or you have a faulty PSU. Check your fan connectors, sometimes there are 3 or 4 pin connectors which are not fan connectors.

Spoiler

Samung Tab S 8.4

We're testing it outside the box.

There is a debug LED but when we press the power switch nothing happens so the LED doesn't display anything. When the PSU is switched on it lights the power LED orange though so there is power going to it.

Do you think it's because the BIOS needs to be updated as it's a Devils Canyon CPU with a Z87 board? I think it is because it would turn on without having the CPU power plugged in for a second, then when we did plug it in it wouldn't boot?

yea Z87 boards do need BIOS update before the 4690K can work with your mobo
