Hey guys, quick question.

We recently finally got a new fiber optic internet plan in our student house. Our 'wonderful' ISP won't install the modem on the second floor where all our living quarters are without charging us a buttload of cash.

If I'm correct I can just buy a really long Cat6 UTP cable and use it to place the modem on the second floor with the cable connecting it to the fiber optics box, right?

Thanks!

This is the cable, I'd buy.

You are right. I guess you mean a router not modem.
