I'm in need of all-black(or tasteful splash of color), DDR3 1600, 16GB (2x 8GB) RAM, budget is $200.

I've gone through all the different options, but I can't seem to decide, so I'm gonna turn to you guys and I want you to help me pick out a kit.

My usage of Autodesk products and high memory usage games limits my use of 8GB kits.

..Ok? I dont understand what you're getting at.

I'm just saying that with a budget of $200, you can get almost any RAM kit with your requirements (i.e. 1600mhz, 2x8gb, all-black)

Some ideas so black ram.

Yeah, sorry about that, I read your post wrong.

It's all good :)

Just choose whichever kit you think looks the best.

With you budget, I would get some Dominator Platinums

Or you could get some fast RAM

1866 CL10. Can get better for the price.

1600 CL10. Really?

1600 CL9. Better but again you can get better ram for that price or slightly more.

 I think the price different is worth going with G. Skill. Trident X  2400 CL10 @ $159

Also, removable heatsinks to allow for large air coolers and more options down the road.

Best ram I can find for at 200 or close to it is. 2666 CL11

i agree 100% the gskill is a better kit. gskill tridents offer the best bang for the buck. was gonna suggest it since the op did say "splash of color" but i went with the blacked out cheaper selection instead.

Yup, But if the OP were to remove the red heatsinks then the top of the ram is solid black, black PCB, etc. It does have the red sticker on the side.

And Corsair Dom. Plats are still overpriced.
