Hi, I'm currently running 2 HD7970's in crossfire on a Fx-8150 cpu. From my research if i add a PCIe SSD in the graphics cards will drop to 8x (cpu config 2*16x or 4*8x) will i notice a graphics hit if i install a PCIe ssd with the graphics card Pcie lanes running slower?

Running a 7950/7970. The 7970 is running at 4x, both are over clocked like mad but seeing a almost 90-95% scaling in benchmarks I done so far

Yea, 4x won't give you more than a 2-5% performance hit.

no noticable difference between different pci-e bandwidth with vga.

You guys realize that he's not running PCIe 3.0 right? He's anyways only on PCIe2.0. It could create a slight bottleneck but it won't be devastating because your CPU bottlenecks this 2way CF 7970s anyhow already.

Cool thanks for the info, i have been interested in getting a PCIE SSD for a while now, so this make me a lot happier.

oh is it worth mentioning that im running 3x1080p monitors?
