hdmi signal splitter?

So.. I have 2 1080p displays on my desk, and I game on 1 of them. I was wondering if I could run a cable from my gpu to my tv, and mirror the content from my main screen to the tv. In windows there are only options for mirroring displays or expanding displays. Not both combined. I was wondering if there is a way to do that. Is there a specific hdmi splitter I need to buy? Most of them seem to be to switch between several inputs, which is not what i want.

Thanks for helping,

Camiel

If you mean to have your desktop extended to your second monitor, while having only the image of one monitor mirrored to the TV, yea you can do that with a splitter like the one linked above.

So it would be;

Graphics card > Splitter > one to TV and one to gaming monitor

Graphics card > second monitor

But then while not gaming you will only see half of your total desktop on the TV.

Thanks a lot, this will help.

I have been using the one I'm about to post for about 6 months now. Haven't had any problems at all and works great. http://www.amazon.com/Kinivo-501BN-Premium-wireless-adapter/dp/B0049SCB2Y/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1421105244&sr=8-1&keywords=kinivo+hdmi+switcher
