What should i get

docterkiwi

#postwhore

Okay i was thinking about getting a 4k monitor and just downscaling to 1080p when i game on high demanding games and keep 4k for counter strike and movies. My other option is to wait for a way to run 4k proficiantly for under $1000 but then have to buy a monitor after that.

What do you think i should do?

Edit: 770 sli are my cards

Steam:Drift and Drift_2 <p>(name is hunter) Lets play:)

Don't think 1080p looks bad on a 4K panel.

are those 2GB cards?

I think you will be better off waiting longer when 4K is cheaper

your SLi 770 is only great for 1080P

playing games at 1080P on a 4K screen will look horrible

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

Personally I would rather go for a 1440p 144Hz monitor instead... but that might just be me...

If you run a 1080p signal on a 4k monitor its just 4 pixels displaying the information of 1 pixel. It's just gonna look exactly like 1080p...

right. its going to look worse than the 4k at native, but because there isnt any merging pixels, or uneveness, it will be about the same as a really big 1080p monitor. ;)
