1. Could you recommend a motherboard for gaming?

Budget:

Maximum $200.

Should support:

- any core i5 and i7 cpu's

- at least 2-way SLI (I only use nvidia cards) compatible

- highspeed DDR3 ram (high speed starts from 1,8ghz/stick for me) up to 32gb.

- quad channel memory (important)

Thanks.

socket 1150?

MSI Z97 Gaming 5

Asus Z97-A

and Z97 only supports Dual Channel RAM

quad channel are only for X79 and X99

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

Any core i5-i7 CPU is a very broad spectrum... Which socket? :P

For 1150 (Current Gen) Gigabyte GA-Z97X Gaming 5 or Asus Z97-AR would be pretty good choices.

Desktop:     Core i7-9700K @ 5.1GHz all-core = ASRock Z390 Taichi Ultimate = 16GB HyperX Predator DDR4 @ 3600MHz = Asus ROG Strix 3060ti (non LHR) = Samsung 970 EVO 500GB M.2 SSD = ASUS PG279Q

Notebook:  Clevo P651RG-G = Core i7 6820HK = 16GB HyperX Impact DDR4 2133MHz = GTX 980M = 1080p IPS G-Sync = Samsung SM951 256GB M.2 SSD + Samsung 850 Pro 256GB SSD

You won't find Quad-Channel memory on mainstream chipsets(Z97/H97/B85/H81 etc) but may I ask you why do you want Quad Channel?

We can't make a difference between Single and Dual Channel DDR3 in normal usage, let alone Quad Channel. Also..speeds don't matter so much as long as they're decent(say 1333Mhz/1600Mhz/1866Mhz).

The difference will be insignificant even next to none in gaming....

*- quad channel memory (important)

DDR3 can only be used on DUAL-CHANNEL mode wit socket 1150 CPU's...no quad-channel.

For motherboard i'd recommend the MSI Z97 Gaming 5 or Z97 G45 Gaming motherboards.

Or Asus Z97-AR , Z97-A or Z97-E

If you build a black and white system look at the MSI Z97S Kraith motherboard.

Black and blue: MSI Z97 G55 SLI.

Z97X-SLI I guess... quad channel & superspeed RAM aren't necessary at all for gaming.
