what is the printer brand and model?

what OS you are using?

have you tried reinstall the printer drivers?

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

hmm a few years i would guess, and yes the are generic. but they are anoying as i do take alot of notice to the printer.. and get 100s of errors cus of a printer i never use bugs the hell out of me..

btw im not in a homegroup on the network, and ive just went to Control Panel \ All items in Control Panel \ Network and Sharing Center \ Advanced sharing settings, and disabled printer sharring and removed the driver.

think that it will work?

you can try that but if that fails

i say throw that printer in to the trash and get a new printer

new printers dont cost a lot, its only the toner or ink are the costly item but your new printer will last longer with less headaches
