So, I'm looking to get a dual SIM phone (have been for a while), and I've finally narrowed down the field.

Originally it was down to the Z3, Z4, and Note 4.

However, how that I've seen the Z4 might not be released until deep into the summer, it's off the table.

The Z3 seems like the obvious choice, as it's around $100 less than the Note 4.

Initially I was looking for a phone with an excellent camera, as I need to take product shots.

Nothing overly demanding, but nice photo's nonetheless.

However. Enter Asus.

Their new ZenPhone 2 seems like an unbeatable deal.

The Intel processors, if I recall correctly, actually beat Snapdragon processors for energy efficiency not including the 810.

It's also less than 1/3 of the price of the Z3. I could pick up a nice advanced point and shoot with the difference.

My question.

How much does the OS play into the dual SIM capabilities?

I'll probably end up going for the ZenPhone, even though it is larger than I'd like, but I don't want to pull the trigger and have the skin performance be horrible.

I'll obviously wait for reviews before I jump on board either the Z4 or ZenPhone.

What do you guys think? Any amazing dual SIM phones I've missed?

I have a THL T6S. Roughly 80$ but it has dual SIM which qualifies me for an answer. The phone runs on Android 4.4.2. I expect to keep this phone for a year and then replace it with the next chinese smartphone.

The dual SIM leads to the following: When powering on the device you have to enter two PINs. The phone has to stay connected to two networks meaning slightly reduced battery life (going home with 50% on a 1900mAh battery so it is not that noticeable). If you have shoddy reception the battery drain will hit you double.

You can assign different ringtones to each SIM as far as I have noticed. The individual SIM cards might have a color coded icon in the notification bar and there is always some hint on which SIM card is responsible for what. Data usage is divided into two categories, one for each SIM.

Basically: You get very used to it in a week.
