Anybody know the reason for this? The grayed out apps cannot be clicked and don't go out of the waiting phase even though they worked a while ago.

Tried turning on and off and they don't update either...

Only reason I can think of is that the ios is outdated for those apps?

Don't want to update cus 4S...

Go find Wi-Fi and then it will start to update. If I'm not mistaken, in the settings, it's enabled by default that apps update only when its on WiFi and not your data.

Swipe from the lower screen up and a menu should pop up click on wifi which is the one second from the left make sure its on, it won't show up in settings. Something like this.ios7-6.png

LOL I know how to connect to wifi  :P

But thanks

I just turn off wifi when I'm out of the house so it doesn't try to connect onto random hotspots and I forget to turn it back on.

Try uninstalling the apps.

IDK if you can do this in IOS, but make a new user account and see if you can launch them from there.
