hello everyone, I have a SSD and a HDD in my system. I tried to remove the HDD, and now my pc wont boot even though the windows install is on the SSD. my only guess is because the system reserve is on the HDD, so what should i do?

When I boot, it says it cant find a bootable device. even though the SSD has windows 8.1 on it. and in the BIOS I can pick the ssd as the boot drive.

I did reinstall onto the sdd, and the HDD was left in while I did it. That was done 2ish months ago

tahts the problem

u left thee hdd in, the hdd already had a boot partition "system reserved"

so when u installed the ssd it just added the ssd to taht boot partiation instead of making a new one on the ssd.

so take the ssd out and do a windows upgrade on the ssd, if it lets you keep your personal files great if not wipe it and reinstall without the HDD plugged in
