Do you reinstall Nvidia drivers when upgrading gpu?

My new card should be here in week getting 970 im wondering should you reinstall drivers again or just take out old one and install new card with same drivers installed.

If your old card is GT7300 it's probably a good idea to reinstall drivers.

I went from a GT330 to a GT630 once, GeForce Experience handled the reinstall just fine. You don't have to do anything special.

Unless you are switching from nvidia to AMD or vice versa it should be fine.

Its plug and Play, but i would still do a clean install

From what I understand, the nvidia driver that you download contains drivers for every supported nvidia cards. So it will install the correct driver for your card from the "driver package" already present on your computer.

Im only going from 780 to 970.
