I need some help.....

 

• Density: 8GB (2x4GB)
• Speed: 1600MHz 

does that mean that a single 4gb stick is 16000mhz?

if that is the case,then it means that 2x4GB =Speed=1600x2 mhz?

A single DIMM operates at 800MHz but has an effective frequency of 1600.

Wait whaaat? I don't really understand your question... Every stick has it's own operating frequency and the frequency does not multiply when you add more RAM, if this is what you asking. 

 

For example, you have a 4GB RAM module with 1.5V and running at 1600MHz. If you add an other one, the frequency will stay the same, it doesn't add up, multiply, etc.

I think hes talking about dual channel and yes 2 ram sticks working in dual channel mode will effectively double the frequency (800mhz too 1600mhz) but you wont get double performance
