Hi guys,

I have recently noticed that my 4770k, when idling, stays at 3.5Ghz. The power saving option in windows is balanced, and the BIOS is with default settings. "Before" it underclocked at 800Mhz, as it should, so is a recent problem.

What can I do? Why does it?

Thanks,

EMENCII

Check if Intel Speed Step and EPU are enabled. They should be on if you want the processor to back the clock speed when it is not under heavy load.
