I am getting the message "To use maximum 3D performance, connect the SLI-ready graphics cards with an SLI connector". It is not detecting my second card, I uninstalled and re-installed the drivers and it has not solved the issue. Could the issue be the SLI Bridge?

Thanks

Yes, doesn't make a difference unfortunately.

Hmmmm, so it's detecting the card in the Nvidia control panel?

Hmmmm, so it's detecting the card in the Nvidia control panel?

On Geforce Experience, it notes it as "Unknown", but the card is getting power and showing that it's working, even the fans are moving, but the SLI option on control panel is blocked out and it is not detected.

Remove the SLI bridge and look again. Is the second card recognized?

Says "Unknown" still and gives the same message as above.

So when you swap cards, the card that was on the bottom before is now recognized?

Yes.

I believe the issue resides in the second PCIe slot. You can try resetting the CMOS chip by removing the battery, but ultimately, you might need to send your board in for RMA or buy a new one.

Before you RMA the board, check for a BIOS update on the manufacturer website. Out of the box, my ASROCK board wouldn't recognize my second PCI-E slot. After a BIOS update, it recognized all slots and I proceeded like normal.

Do what RossMadness said FIRST before RMAing a board. RMAs are a pain in the ass and it can often be solved with doing a BIOS update and/or a CMOS clearing.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Make sure you put it in the correct slot... for my board using a 28 lane CPU, I have to put it in the 3rd slot for it to work properly.

Good luck!

Thanks for the tips, will check for a BIOS update now and will try re-arranging the GFX cards. Thank you again.

The last slot is PCIe x4. SLI doesn't work with those slots.
