In all games i have huge FPS drops i am suspecting that is because i am using a Bios version that is not supporting my CPU i am using bios version P2.30 i need to use the P2.60, also it took me like 3 times to shutdown and start my PC so that he could boot properly, i was having no image in the monitor i am assuming that the problem resides in the Bios version, it's not the CPU or either Power Supply because i had another mobo, cpu and ram installed that was worst and i had 0 FPS drops in all games just in when functions that are CPU exhaustive it throttles.

I need help do to Bios Update, i am scared that i might do wrong and get a broken mobo because of that.

Just go to the ASROCK homepage, download the latest bios for your exact mobo and follow exactly the given instructions. Often it is just an ".exe" you have to start and everythingelse just "happens". ;-)

Using the BIOS revision of 2.60 will do nothing for you. It does not affect CPU compatibility at all. I checked the revisions on their website. The last revision that improves CPU compatibility is 2.30, which you already have.

My suggestion is to reinstall your drivers.

We'll decide when you reinstall the drivers again.

I found something on the website and there is some information that is quite confusing if you go here http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/970%20Extreme4/?cat=CPU you can check that it only supports since the 2.60 version  while if you go to download Bios http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/970%20Extreme4/?cat=Download&os=BIOS  there is this description "Improve AM3+ FX-8350 and FX-8150 CPU compatibility", with the 2.30 bios version doesn't make any sense something is wrong the only way know to know for sure is to update bios to 2.60 so in that way i can figure it out it s  some problem with bios version or with the mobo.

Sorry for double post

Worst case scenario, no. The board is bricked if something goes wrong. Best case scenario, yes. I don't know much about MSI boards - specifically if they allow you to re-flash the BIOS with a flash drive while having a bricked BIOS.

that's my problem, if i try i might get it broken, also it's not MSI but Asrock board, maybe it's better that i call asrock and ask then to send the bios with the latest version since it is removable
