Youtube stutters when sped up

I didn't know where else to post this so this seems like a good section.

 

Whenever I speed up youtube videos (or slow them down) they stutter a lot. I really liked the feature and used it a lot but for the past few weeks its been stuttering and I don't get it because it was working fine before. Does anyone else have this issue, know a fix, or at least know why its happening?

I'm using chrome and it was working with chrome before so idk what changed. Ill try another one and see how it goes.

 

Update: I tried with firefox and it runs smoothly thank you. Does anyone know how to fix chrome so that it works again?
